after i got home from school today, i made myself a bowl of cereal. and when i looked out to the street, i was surprised by Queensland Fire and Rescue right at the doorstep. 11 o'clock in the afternoon. when we see this, it usually spells that something is very wrong.
at first, i wondered what was wrong. i quickly went to take my camera just in case something amazing happens, and i could get a few shots. but all was quiet...
and they suddenly started spraying at the tree. now, i thought there was some bushfire or something like the tree caught fire. but then again, there was no smoke, and it is winter right now.
at the start of the 'operation', he was the only hero i saw.
and then came another, which makes '2 mates better than 1'. for the whole 15 mins, i saw only this 2.
while the trees were continuously being sprayed at, i wondered if there was another person controlling the hose.
at the end of it, they drove off, leaving a mini-pool on the road. i came to a conclusion. in times like this, the Department must have taken on a part-time job. to water trees.
