Chermside
the day started at 10am today. went for a tour at the Biological Sciences library. got free chocolate and $2 top-up for the printing card. not bad... Went to the gym again after the tour ended, feels so great. damn, I'm such a gym junkie.
lunch was a feast as Adeline's parents are here to attend her graduation. so the girls cooked quite a lot of food. there was briyani rice by Bhupi, stewed mushrooms by Katherine, stir-fry garlic shoots by Jie ying and also Finnish omelets by Marjo. as usual, i finished everything and then washed dishes.
was so tired from the gym and the heavy lunch that sleep was just essential. knocked out for about 2 hours, until i heard talking and footsteps that i woke up. and they asked me if i would join them for shopping at Chermside. of course i had to follow, because Chermside is the largest regional shopping centre in Queensland, located in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs.
i must say, it was really big. if you want to compare it with takashimaya, it's so much bigger. and longer. and has more shops. and the way they designed it, is that shoppers won't have to walk and reach a dead end and have to turn back like the way vivocity is. anyway, apart from being a bigger shopping mall, the shops there are so much different from what Singapore has. so it was quite an eye opener to have an experience in the mall. punctual Aussies closed the shops at 9pm sharp, so we headed home after some food.
