Orientation

Orientation today. what else can i say? wasn't much. firstly, you can expect welcome from school vice chancellor, introduction to school, more intro to Australia and even more introduction to school facilities and services. goodness. most of the time i was with Marjo, everywhere we went, people were giving me 'the looks'. 'the looks' is simply translated into 'hey whoa, what's this asian guy doing with a blonde caucasian'. either they've not seen it before or they're just jealous. i must be too fast for them. anyway, Marjo went for her briefing for study abroad and exchange students, and i took the picture below.

i must say this. while i was waiting for Marjo, i also went to the school's sport center. was looking around, and i so so 假厉害. i had to go take my weight on the digital scale. 69. it displayed 69! i was trying so hard to put on weight by working out so much in the gym in Singapore. and then eat carefully. and i was always on 66. i'm just here for 2 weeks and it's now 69. what shit? then using my deceiving mind, i came to 3 conclusions to console myself. first, the gravity here in Brisbane is different from at home. second, i always take my weight at home wearing just shorts. this time i'm wearing shoe, jeans, 2 shirts and a jacket; so it must be those that increased the weight unnecessarily. third, all the muscle mass from previous trainings must've been packed on now. with these three conclusions, i shouldn't be worrying much. but nevertheless, i signed up got the 3 month gym/pool/cardio package. i just can't stand not exercising anymore.

after Marjo was done with her briefing we went for free lunch. shortly after, i had to go for lesson on how to use the student online eLearning, Marjo had to look for her course advisors to answer her queries. and then we went home and i was using the computer on the dining table while the girls prepped and cooked dinner.

mashed potatoes and peas.

salmon, by maria.

and so shortly after dinner, we went to La Dolce Vita. it is an italian place. pictures might look lousy cause low light.

Gelato.

and of course, desserts. what did you think we were there for?

this is what the girls call 'italian hot chocolate'. its super thick and gooey. like mud. supposed to taste really good and rich, but i thought otherwise.
